Yes, our products are sent flat-packed to minimise damage in transit. They are very easy to assemble and come with detailed printed instructions. You can also download a copy of the instructions here.
Our stools are available in mdf or Bamboo. We source all of our materials from reputable suppliers.
In order to keep the stool affordable we chose to create one style with MDF. This has allowed us to produce a light weight product that is affordable, particularly as our customers often order more than one. The MDF also allows you to be creative - you can paint it in any colour you choose to match your decor, or turn the entire stool into a blackboard using specially designed blackboard paint.
The E Zero MDF we use is a low formaldehyde emitting MDF product. It has a formaldehyde emission of less than 0.5mg/L. This is lower than the current Australian standard. On top of that the MDF we use is highly moisture resistant. That means it is not only SAFE for you and your family because of the low emissions, it is also has an eco friendly nature and is highly durable.
Our Bamboo Toddler Chef Stool, Bamboo Baby Gym and Bamboo Lego table are available in its natural finish. We chose Bamboo because of its durability and nature. Bamboo is widely considered a giant variety of grass and does not require re-planting after harvesting. The root system remains in place and growth occurs with each new growing season. In suitable conditions, Bamboo has been known to grow at a rate of one metre per day. The species of Bamboo used for sheet and veneer products is a running variety known as Phyllostachys Pubescens, commonly called Moso Bamboo. Bamboo is a natural product and may vary in appearance.
We recommend that you paint or seal your stool for durability. You can use semi gloss, gloss or clear lacquer available from any hardware.
Bamboo stools can be kept in its natural finish, applying kitchen timber oil from time to time to keep it nourished and renewed.
The stool weighs 9 kilograms.
The stools have been designed to hold up to 80kg. We recommend that the stool be used for children between the ages of 1 to 6 years old depending on how tall your child is at the time. Your toddler needs to be stable on their feet so we don't recommend it for children under 12 months old.
The assembled dimensions are: 915mm height, 370mm width and 300mm top depth and 470mm bottom depth.
There are four height adjustments. From lowest to highest: 310mm, 415mm, 465mm and 515mm.
The backless version is open to allow your child to climb in and out of the stool independently. There is not an option to slide a back into it.
The closed Toddler Chef Stool is fixed, therefore, you will need to lift your child in and out of the stool.
We can do customisations on stools provided it doesn't compromise the safety of the stool. Please contact us to discuss your requirements. Customisations incur additional charges.
Wipe it with a damp cloth. If water gets on it use a dry clean cloth immediately to wipe the water off. We don’t recommend that you leave water on it, as this can damage the materials.
For the Bamboo version we recommend you apply a kitchen timber oil to keep it nourished and to protect it. We use Feast Watson Kitchen Timber Oil on our stools. When the Kitchen Timber Oil is dry, it gives a natural matt finish that is resistant to water and spills. If your stool shows signs of drying out, there’s no need to sand the surface, just clean and dry the surface and apply the timber oil. You can purchase it at leading hardware stores or at Feast Watson.
The assembled dimensions are: 400mm height, 850mm width and 550mm depth.
Accessories are not included. The Bamboo Play Gym allows you to hang your own toys so you can rotate the items your baby plays with to keep them entertained and stimulated with new objects.
Yes, when we first started making our products we chose to sell them first on eBay. We have received 100% positive feedback from our eBay customers. We do not discount our products on eBay, they are the same price as our products on our website and in our Showroom.
Unfortunately, we don’t offer discounts. When we have discounted our products this has been inline with a charity donation. Given we design and manufacture in Australia, we already have very competitive pricing, so we can’t afford to just discount for the sake of a sale. Our products are popular and our customers are loyal so we find that they are very understanding that we don’t have seasonal sales.
